Learner Specific iPad Apps
Once the students' learning strengths were identified, the six students were broken up into 2 groups so that their strengths could compliment one another. Then the difficult task of assigning apps began. Identifying apps was made much easier when I found the appitec website. There I was able to choose from a variety of apps, all categorized for each of Gardner's intelligences. I chose two apps for each category, making sure that they were free or low priced. The complete list of those that I chose are in the Planning Sheet document below.
The next two artifacts are part of a project on nutrition and fitness. The students visited the library and found books on health and fitness and worked together on a script to present their findings. The short video was created by a group of three students(one first grader and two second graders)using the iPad app, Puppet Pals.
